Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry
By virtue of late Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum Ruler
of Dubai, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry was the first
Chamber that saw the light in the state in 1950 and was one of the
pioneering chambers of commerce in the G.C.C.
Through its long journey, which continued for more than 38 years of
efforts and achievements, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry
has been the backbone of the commercial and economic activities of
the Emirates and a source of development and progress. It
accompanied in its journey from a forgotten village on the Gulf
shares to an international city and one of important the business
centers in the world.

Dubai had for centuries
been known as ‘the city of merchants’. In the fifties and sixties
it became an increasingly busy trading post for the entire Gulf
region. Although the late ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Rashid, had given
orders for the creek to be dredged in the mid-sixties, he soon
realized that to be a really successful commercial center, a

The NAFL was the Arabian Gulf's first national freight forwarders
association. Founded in February 1992 in Dubai, United Arab
Emirates, NAFL was formed primarily to bring together in one body
all the major players in the UAE freight forwarding, logistics and
shipping industry. Broadly, its main goal is to ensure the UAE's
leading position and Dubai's pre-eminence in the international
freight and transport field.
